The Duke Endowment: Health Care Grant (Application Deadline: June 15, 2025) The Duke Endowment’s Health Care Grant program seeks to enhance health outcomes across the Carolinas by supporting community collaborations that reduce barriers to care and promote healthy behaviors. Grants are available for initiatives focused on access to care for vulnerable populations, maternal and infant health, mental health, oral health, population health, and health workforce development. The Endowment prioritizes projects that address systemic inequities related to race, income, and geography. Eligible applicants include not-for-profit hospitals, academic health centers, area health education centers, not-for-profit inpatient facilities, and select organizations in counties lacking eligible hospitals.



LabCorp Charitable Foundation Grants (Application Deadline: Rolling-basis) The Labcorp Charitable Foundation aims to ensure equitable care, education, and community support. Established in 2020, the foundation provides grants to initiatives such as food pantries, meal programs, healthcare services for underserved populations, STEM education programs, and efforts promoting healthy lifestyles through medical research and screenings. Eligible applicants must be U.S.-based organizations with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status or equivalent charitable recognition. CareSource Foundation: Community Grant (Application Deadline: Rolling-basis) The CareSource Foundation offers Community Grants to nonprofits addressing health equity, poverty, and systemic issues affecting underserved populations. These one-year grants prioritize innovative, community-driven solutions that target root causes of disparities and promote sustainable health improvements. Eligible organizations must be 501(c)(3) tax-exempt and primarily serve communities in states where CareSource operates. Funding is typically provided once per organization within a 12-month period, though multiple applications are allowed.



Gilead North America Grants (Application Deadline: Rolling-basis) This funding opportunity supports projects across North America that aim to improve access to healthcare, eliminate barriers, and advance education for patients and healthcare professionals. Gilead focuses on therapeutic areas such as HIV, liver diseases, oncology, and inflammatory and respiratory diseases. Partnerships with patient advocates, nonprofits, and healthcare professionals are central to enhancing care and community engagement. Only tax-exempt nonprofits are eligible to apply. Applications must include a U.S. federal tax ID number and proof of tax-exempt status, such as a 501(c)(3) IRS letter.


Moderna Charitable Foundation Grants (Application Deadline: Rolling-basis) This funding opportunity supports organizations that promote public health, improve access to quality healthcare, advance scientific education and innovation, and advocate for diversity and inclusion, especially in underserved populations. Established in 2022, the Moderna Charitable Foundation aims to benefit local and global communities through these grant-making priorities. Grants are available to 501(c)(3) organizations within the United States and similarly, organized nonprofit organizations outside the U.S.



American Heart Association: Social Impact Fund – Nationwide Grant (Application Deadline: Rolling-basis) The American Heart Association’s Social Impact Funds support community-led innovation by investing in social entrepreneurs who draw on their lived experience to address key social drivers of health. The fund targets three major focus areas: Health Care Access & Quality, Food Security, and Economic Empowerment. Initiatives may include expanding access to culturally appropriate health care, increasing availability of healthy foods, and promoting financial and economic well-being through job training, banking access, housing support, and more. Eligible applicants include both for-profit and nonprofit organizations currently operating in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.



Caplan Foundation for Early Childhood: Early Childhood Grant (Letter of Intent Deadline: May 31, 2025) This grant supports research and development projects that enhance the welfare of young children, from infancy through age seven, in the United States. Funding priorities include early childhood welfare, education and play, and parenting education. Projects may focus on intellectual, emotional, and physical development, innovative curricula, play-based learning, and programs that support parents in creating nurturing environments. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations with a valid IRS tax-exempt status.




Carolina Hurricanes Foundation: Game Changer Grants (Estimated Application Deadline: May 31, 2025) The Carolina Hurricanes Foundation offers Game Changer Grants to support nonprofit organizations focused on improving the health and education of children, especially in underserved communities across North Carolina. Priority is given to programs aligned with the Foundation’s mission, including those that strengthen youth hockey or directly impact child wellness and academic success. Eligible applicants must be 501(c)(3) nonprofits in good standing, serving children in North Carolina, and operating for at least three years. Grantees are expected to participate in site visits, provide detailed fund usage reports, and acknowledge the Foundation’s support.
